Throughout the year, Suited for Change partners with business, government and nonprofit organizations in the Washington , DC , Virginia and Maryland to offer a variety of tailor-made programs that provide skills and important information to help our clients find jobs, keep them and advance professionally.

PROFESSIONAL AND LIFESKILLS DEVELOPMENT SEIMINAR SERIES (PLD)

Suited for Change offers its Professional and Lifeskills Development (PLD) Series throughout the year . The PLD seminar series is specially designed to help our clients acquire the skills they need to secure and maintain professional employment and to foster personal growth. Consisting of six to seven sessions the topics covered include interview techniques, resume writing, workplace ethics, professional image and etiquette.

These seminars are limited in size to approximately 20 participants each to allow for the personalized attention that has been hallmark of the success of Suited for Change’s services over the years, and means that participants can actively participate and interact with the trainers and each other. PLD seminars are offered at no charge and are open to all current and former Suited for Change clients. Suited for Change promotes the PLD series and recruits participants by distributing flyers to our referral partners.

The PLD program is a follow-on to the Personal and Professional Development Program (PPD). We are grateful for the support we have received from individual volunteers, partner organizations and generous individual donors and sponsors such as Capitol One that make these programs possible.

CAREER DAYS
