Who We Are

who we are

Suited for Change has been a constant and reliable member of our community. Since 1992, we have served 30,000 local women in need.

We provide professional attire, coaching, and skills training to women in need who are seeking employment.

These women are referred to us by more than 120 partners in the DC region. Our network of referral partners includes job training and workforce development programs, transitional housing programs and halfway houses, shelters, and other programs serving domestic violence survivors, local and state government agencies, and faith-based organizations. All Suited for Change services are available at no cost.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Equip women in need in our community on their path to financial independence by providing them with professional attire, coaching, and skills training.

What we do

Suiting, Coaching, and Workshops.

Our suiting program provides head-to-toe professional attire, including accessories, to local women in need entering the job market or to those recently employed.

In addition to Suited for Change’s one-on-one styling and coaching sessions, clients can further their job readiness with online workshops from our partners at Edge.

Our clients are exclusively referred to Suited for Change by partner agencies. Suiting is provided free of charge.
