At Suited for Change, we know confidence grows through community — and we are incredibly grateful to the Washington Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) for partnering with us in such meaningful ways this year.
This spring, we had the honor of participating in the Washington Section’s annual fundraiser, where our team styled the runway models using pieces from the Suited for Change boutique. The runway was filled with confidence, style, and sisterhood as members of the NCNW community took center stage — including students from the Collegiate Section of NCNW at Howard University and a former Suited for Change board member.

What has made the partnership between Suited for Change and the Washington Section especially meaningful is their continued commitment to turning support into direct service for the women we serve. Building on a shared spirit of confidence, empowerment, and community, they hosted a shoe drive to benefit Suited for Change and our clients. Thanks to their tremendous generosity, more than 280 pairs of shoes were collected for women across the DMV — helping client's step into interviews, workplaces, and new opportunities feeling prepared, confident, and empowered.
From the runway to the boutique, partnerships like this remind us of what is possible when women support women. We are deeply thankful to the Washington Section of NCNW for their continued commitment to uplifting our community and helping women thrive with confidence!
