Elevating Partnerships: St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families

The staff at Suited for Change are always looking for new ways to grow our partnerships within the community. One of the first referral partnerships we’ve begun to elevate in 2024 is with St. Ann’s.
St. Ann’s has been around for over 160 years and is committed to lifting vulnerable children, mothers and families out of poverty and homelessness. Through their innovative housing and support programs, they build upon a family’s inherent strengths by providing the tools for life-long independence and self-sufficiency.
Back in January as we kicked off this new partnership, our Executive Director, Liz Reinert, and Marketing and Program Manager, Fernanda Parreira Menezes, attended the official welcome of St. Ann’s new CEO, Sister Nancy Downing. Following wonderful food and conversations, Sister Nancy thanked their
“community of supporters who 'spark' our fire and help us to accompany and support the moms and their children at St. Ann's overcoming significant challenges."
Energized by Sister Nancy’s inspiring words, SFC quickly made plans to have a site visit to the facility and host an information session for St. Ann’s residents and share with them our extensive program offerings.
After an engaging information session, the moms were eager to start utilizing our services – with many signing up for our Be Bold for Change S&S24 Maximum Uplift event. By joining forces with St. Ann’s, we aim to address the barriers of career advancement for pregnant and parenting young women and empower moms with the confidence to pursue meaningful careers.
We cannot wait to continue our outreach with St. Ann’s and are already in the works for an event on Mother’s Day!
