When Amy Andrus volunteers at Suited for Change, she brings more than style — she brings patience, kindness, and a calming presence that helps clients feel truly seen.

Amy has been a dedicated volunteer with Suited for Change since August 2022, generously wearing many hats along the way. From styling clients in the boutique, to supporting Group Days with partner organizations like DC Central Kitchen and Goodwill Excel Center, to stepping up for special events such as Yes…AND WE THRIVE, Power of the Purse, and Suited to Celebrate, Amy is always ready to lend her time and heart wherever it’s needed most.

Her impact is felt deeply by the women she serves. One client shared, “Amy was amazing! She wasn’t pushy and made me very comfortable.” Another reflected, “I was very bottled up upon arrival and Amy helped me to relax… the items she helped me with were very nice.” Time and again, clients describe Amy as patient, thoughtful, and empowering — someone who listens, encourages, and helps them feel confident from head to toe.

Amy has also shared her talents beyond the boutique, co-leading workshops alongside fellow volunteer Jen, who can attest to her dedication and compassion. Whether she’s styling an outfit, guiding a group, or supporting a major event, Amy’s approach is always rooted in care and respect.

Amy, thank you for the countless ways you support our clients and our mission. Your kindness leaves a lasting impression on everyone who walks through our doors — and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Suited for Change community. 💜
