For 30 years, Suited for Change has lifted up the women in our community, changing their children’s lives too, and giving them a helping hand as they strive towards financial independence.
Join us on June 1st, 2022 as we celebrate this incredible milestone and look ahead to another 30 years of empowering the women in our neighborhood. With your help, more women will be given the opportunity to flourish, which, in turn, extends to those around them.
As said by Vice President, Kamala Harris, “when you lift up women, you lift up families, you lift up communities, you lift up economies -- and you lift up America.”
Our mission is to equip women in need in our community on their path to financial independence by providing professional attire, coaching, and skills training.
Suited for Change is the region’s leading nonprofit serving women in need of professional attire. Our commitment is to prepare our clients for job interviews and employment. 69% of our clients are heads of households, determined to come out of poverty.

In 2021, we adapted our services to accommodate for the new in-person limitations with Covid-19. We launched our Virtual Suiting and Coaching programs to continue providing the key professional development services to the women in our community.
We look forward to equipping over one thousand women in 2022 with professional attire as well as with professional coaching and mentoring to increase their employment and job retention potential as they return to the workforce.
