We are proud to announce that SFC Board Member, Diedra Yates, was awarded by the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) with the Community Service Award alongside her sister, Jeanine Carter, in honor of her service leading projects with Suited for Change at NCNW’s 80th Anniversary Gala.
Diedra has been a vital part of SFC’s revamping of services. She was SFC’s first professional development coach and helped pilot our one-on-one coaching services to clients. Diedra joined the board of directors in 2020 and has continued to volunteer as one of our core in-person professional development coaches.
Combining her passions for SFC and NCNW, Diedra spearheaded two successful shoe drives for our clients, providing over 300 pairs of professional shoes for the women we serve, and planning another shoe drive for this coming May.
We are incredibly grateful for Diedra’s constant support in our mission to empower the women in our community - thank you for all that you do!
