As summer comes to a close, our incredible Board of Directors have kicked off their latest initiative to spread the word about the empowering work being done at Suited for Change.
In late August, Dina Cote, SFC Board Member, welcomed friends and neighbors into her home to indulge in Egyptian cuisine and learn about one of her passions: empowering women.
With the intimate environment of Dina’s beautiful home, guests were greeted with the smell of kibbeh warm in the oven, hummus and tzatziki dips, and grilled chicken kabobs.
As everyone enjoyed the delicious meal, they chatted with SFC board members and staff to learn more about the driving force behind SFC. Immediately guests were peppering our staff with questions ranging from how to become a volunteer to donating their professional attire.
Raising almost $2,000, the event was an incredible success. By the end of the evening, everyone was filled with excitement and great food!
With such great momentum, we cannot wait to host more intimate events and spread awareness of SFC’s mission to equip women in need with the professional attire and skills coaching they need to succeed.
