Why Confidence is Economic Power

Dear Suited for Change Family,

Every day at Suited for Change, I’m reminded that confidence is more than a feeling — it’s economic power.

When a woman walks through our doors, she may be facing unemployment, underemployment, or the lingering effects of economic hardship. But when she leaves — wearing a professional outfit that reflects her goals and spirit — something shifts. She stands taller. She speaks with purpose. She begins to see herself as capable of more.

That transformation doesn’t just change how she feels; it changes what’s possible for her future. Confidence leads to interviews, interviews lead to jobs, and jobs lead to economic independence.

This year alone, we’ve seen an increase in women seeking our services, as many of our partner organizations face their own funding cuts. The need is growing — and so is the demand for our programs that provide professional attire, one-on-one career coaching, and workforce readiness training.

At Suited for Change, we believe every woman deserves the opportunity to show up as her best self — ready to claim her seat at the table and contribute her talents to our community.

As we approach the end of the year, I invite you to join us in keeping confidence alive for women across the Washington region.

Together, we can ensure that every woman has the tools, support, and self-assurance to achieve economic success — one outfit, one opportunity at a time.

Thank you for the immense support you've given us and for keeping Suited for Change in your hearts as we head into 2026.

With Gratitude,

Liz Reinert

Executive Director
