Known for both its classic and globally inspired flavors (as well as being Jill Biden’s choice in Valentine’s treat) The Sweet Lobby offers an incredible selection of macarons, cupcakes, madeleines, and more down on Capitol Hill.

The Sweet Lobby owner, Dr. Winnette McIntosh Ambrose, has personally trained every Sweet Lobby baker and together they have created new daring flavors like goat cheese and caramelized pear.

"The Sweet Lobby owner, Dr. Winnette McIntosh Ambrose is an engineer who balances her work in the area of vision research with owning and operating The Sweet Lobby. Within months of opening, Winnette won Food Network's vastly popular show, Cupcake Wars. Winnette is a self-taught pastry chef who combines her love of science, travel and baking to create delectable desserts."
