After over 18 months of the pandemic, losing her husband, and battling the constant isolation, Iyarna starts her new job as a receptionist on Monday.
She came into the Suited for Change boutique unsure of what to expect, but immediately found herself in a welcoming and supportive environment. With the help of our incredible volunteer Gloria, not only did Iyarna receive three outfits perfect for her new job, but she also felt comfortable sharing the struggles she has faced this past year.
After such a long period of hopelessness, Iyarna was suddenly able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As she stepped out of the dressing room in her new outfit, Iyarna could not help but admire her reflection in the mirror.
"This is one of the BEST days I've had in a long time."
Throughout her visit to the SFC boutique, Iyarna felt pampered, supported, and most of all, confident.
She loved her outfits so much that she had her own impromptu photoshoot on the street to show off her new looks! It’s moments like these that remind us how something as simple as a suit can completely change one’s mindset and open doors for her future.
